Description
A few hundred meters from the characteristic rock of St. Andrea's cape is the shoal of "Il Careno", a long wall that starts from a plateau at around 18 meters, from which rise numerous large boulders that offer shelter to much wildlife typical.
The wall runs between canyons and vertical walls enlivened by yellow gorgonians, colorful sponges and crustaceans.
But the real show is offered by schools of fish swimming quietly between the wall and the plateau: snappers, huge barracuda and often fast tuna.
Not uncommon to also meet eagle rays.
